Biography:
Mr. Freedman is chief investment officer and a managing director at CAPTRUST Financial Advisors, where he heads the firm’s consulting research group. Previously, he worked as a senior portfolio manager for Franklin Street Partners and as a vice president in the equity derivatives and international equities businesses at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Freedman’s work focuses on asset allocation research, tactical decision making, investment vehicle and manager selection, and overseeing services within CAPTRUST’s defined contribution businesses. He holds a BA degree in economics from Colgate University and an MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he pursued a double major of finance and management.
